Greenberg was a decent film, but it was a bit depressing. It's not easy to
sympathize with the main character, who's funny and charming on the one
hand, but also completely self-absorbed and needy on the other. Of course we
know that Greenberg has recently left a mental institution, so everyone's
aware that something is wrong with him. In spite of that, the female character
Florence falls for him, and she's the best thing in the film. The story
doesn't have a traditional arc, but it's worth checking out on DVD
certainly. Ben Stiller, Greta Gerwig, and Rhys Ifans are all great in their
roles.
